Set on a large, sloping wooded lot, the challenge was to add a swimming pool and patios to this home without lots of heavy retaining walls. We set the swimming pool away from the house and filled the space in between with large boulders and natural plantings. A large lawn patio lies outside the family room that steps down to a gravel path.
